A beautiful, eerie hotel in the Swiss Alps, recently converted from an abandoned sanatorium, is the last place Detective Elin Warner wants to be. But her estranged brother has invited her there for his engagement party, and she feels she has no choice but to accept.

Η ΣΑΡΑ ΠΙΡΣ μεγάλωσε στο Ντέβον του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. Σπούδασε αγγλική λογοτεχνία και δημιουργική γραφή στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Γουόρικ και στη συνέχεια πραγματοποίησε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη δημοσιογραφία. Έζησε αρκετά χρόνια στην Ελβετία, όπου περνούσε τον ελεύθερο χρόνο της εξερευνώντας τα βουνά, ενώ ακόμη έχει ένα σπίτι στη μικρή πόλη του Κραν-Μοντανά στις Ελβετικές Άλπεις, σκηνικό που αποτέλεσε την αρχική έμπνευση για να γράψει το ΣΑΝΑΤΟΡΙΟ, το πρώτο της μυθιστόρημα.
